Where are we…
Aurasound Headquarters and Research & Development center is located in Santa Fe Springs, CA while our 200-acre manufacturing complex is located in Guangzhou, China.
Since 1987 – Innovation, Quality, Customer Satisfaction
Aura Systems founded in 1987 by defense industry team.Projects for SDI (star wars) and US Navy.
1990: Neo Radial Technology (NRT) concept created from their electromagnetic linear actuators
1991: Aura Sound division created. First NRT patents filed. 1992: First NRT speaker production.
1993 – 1998: Develop and market a range of NRT-based speakers from small 2x3” for TVs and computers, 5” & 6” for home and car audio, to 18” subwoofers for concerts.
1999: Aura Sound sold to Algo Technology. Algo Sound dba Aura Sound created.
2000: Whisper NRT topology invented for compact, wide bandwidth transducer. Patent filed.
2000 - 2001: First Whisper technology speakers developed and produced: NSW1 and NSW2. Development completion and production start for NS range of 10 – 18” high output woofers.
2005: Begin development of miniature speakers for laptop computers. First customer is NEC/Quanta.
2007: Begins development of micro speakers for mobile phones. Establishes manufacturing relationship with GGEC. Aurasound aquired by Hemcure, Inc. which changes it's name to Aurasound, Inc.
2008: GGEC signs letter of intent to become major shareholder in Aurasound, Inc.
2009: GGEC and Aurasound, Inc. execute Securities Purchase Agreement whereby GGEC will become majority shareholder in Aurasound, Inc.
